Arms embargo lifted on Vietnam by US

Barack Obama lifted arms embargo with Vietnam and thus ending a decade long ban. Announcement was made in Butter yellow palace in Vietnam in the first few hours of three day visit to Vietnam by the American president after meeting the newly elected president of Vietnam Tran Dai Quang . The decision is in view of warming the relationship between the two old enemies to curb the Chinese aggression in the region.There is a terriorial dispute between Vietnam and China in South China Sea. This will allow American firms to sell weapons to the country. America lifted its ban by seeing a "modest" improvement in human right in Vietnam.
